The Inflammatory Neuropathy Support Group of Victoria Inc (IN Group) is a non profit Association that has been formed to – - Provide support to patients and their families;
- Promote financial support for the group.
Inflammatory Neuropathies Inflammatory neuropathies typically destroy the outer layer of the nerve sheath. They are usually demyelinating neuropathies characterised by the infiltration of peripheral nerves with lymphocytes and macrophages, cells that are associated with inflammation. The most common inflammatory neuropathies are those associated with an acute onset and rapidly progressive course (Guillain-Barré Syndrome – GBS) and those with a chronic course (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy – CIDP and Multifocal Motor Neuropathy – MMN).
